SPEEDWAY HIGH SCHOOL ATHLETICS

Ben Davis Invitational Results: The Lady Sparkplugs finished 13th in the first 18 hole event of the year at South Grove Golf Course. The teams behind the Sparkplugs on the day were North Central, Covenant Christian, Franklin Central, Ben Davis and Pike. The Sparkplugs were lead by senior Dasie Fayigbe with a 102. Junior Reese Pinkley shot her personal best 105 as did senior Bailey Small with a 109. Rounding out the team were a pair of 129's by our two freshman, Ava Johnson and Angie Luevanos. Big shout out to our three returning players with huge improvements since last year. I am also super proud of our two freshman for battling in their first ever 18 hole event. Come out and cheer on the Lady Sparkplugs this week on Tuesday and Wednesday night at 5pm tee time at the Brickyard Crossing Golf Course.
