Kamryn Lowe is being celebrated this week for her contributions to the girls tennis program. Kami has played tennis all four years of high school, her first three for long-time coach Whitney Baker and this spring for first year head coach Karly Smith. During that time, she has received a varsity letter. Kamryn has been a key part of our program since her freshmen year," said Smith. "Her skill, work ethic, and heart takes her far. Kamryn is a singles player and continues to challenge her and her opponent on the court. We are ecstatic to have Kamryn back with us this coming spring!" Kami believes the friendships you make are a positive part of tennis! “You get to meet and bond with people you might have never even talked to, which means making more friends and memories to look back on after you graduate,” said Kami. One adult that Kami would like to recognize is her mom. “The biggest influence in my life has been my mom because she gave me an example of what I think a loving life is…” said Kami. “She also gives me an example of trying hard in life no matter the circumstances,” Kami is the daughter of Porsha James and is a sister to Austyn Payton (Class of 2018), Lauren Lowe (Class of 2025), and Ethan Lowe (Junior). Kami plans on attending either the University of Michigan or Ohio State University to study finance as a business major. We wish you the best of luck Kami in your future endeavors and can’t wait to see what you accomplish this season! Senior athletic profiles are compiled by SHS Student Media Team Members Morgan Smith, Jonathan Berry, Hayli Clampitt, and Colten Thompson.
