This week we are celebrating senior Kamorudeen Oshun! He is an excellent student in the classroom and athlete on the soccer field. What is Kamorudeen’s favorite reason for playing soccer? “The competitiveness,” said Kamorudeen. Not everyone has an easy chance. Everyone has to earn playing time.” Kamorudeen is a very hard worker and competitor with and for his teammates. Varsity soccer coach Dean Heaviland has huge praise for him. “ KD always has a great attitude and work ethic and often has a big smile on his face,” said Heaviland. He's a great teammate with a great work ethic and I know he'll do great things in the future.” Kamorudeen plans to enlist in the Navy after graduation. He also wants to continue playing soccer after he graduates, but only at the recreational level. He lives with his mom Olayinka, and he has a brother (Azim) and sister (Alimas), who are in sixth and first grade respectively. Kamorudeen said his mom was an influential person in his life and praises her for how much she has sacrificed for him and his siblings. Congratulations Kamorudeen.
