Today, we are celebrating Livinsky Philogene for being a dedicated athlete and a hardworking student here at Speedway HIgh School! Livinsky is the son of Herline Etienne, and his step dad is Elie Guerrier. Livinsky has two sisters at the junior high, Elisha and Brianna Guerrier. Livinsky would like to recognize his Mom and stepfather for making a great impact on his life. “... I do this for them, going to college and hoping to make tons of money for them and myself of course but they are the biggest reasons.” Livinsky's favorite memory here would be the Splat War! “Everyone in my class was included and it was just fun in general!” exclaimed Livinsky. And Mr. Todd is a teacher who has had the biggest impact on him, and is one of his role models he looks up to. “He lets me know about everything that is going around and has helped me every single time I needed his help,” noted Livinsky. He also credits football coach Shane Clampitt and Coach JZ. "They have done the same thing, they care about my well being.” Livinksy plays football and runs track and field at Speedway and has learned a lot of life lessons. “Winning or not at the end of the day who you win or lose with is your brothers or sisters and life long friends,” said Livinsky. He always brings a positive attitude around his peers, even if that is on the field, or in the classroom. “Livinsky was such a great kid to be around…” noted Clampitt. “I wish we could have had more time with him on the field, as his last two seasons were a struggle with injuries and other challenges. Despite that, he was always willing to work hard, stayed positive, and was truly fun to be around.” Livinsky plans on going to Ball State to study Physics with hopes to become an astronaut! Sports profiles on the athletics website are produced by the Student Media Sports Team of Morgan Smith, Jonathan Berry, Hayli Clampitt, and Colten Thompson.
