This week we are celebrating Vincent Simpson for his amazing achievements as a Sparkplug! He is a three year football player and also participated on the wrestling team for part of his high school career.. He is a super hard worker and puts in all the work to have it be known on the athletic field. “I am so glad Vincent decided to rejoin the football team his junior year,” said varsity football coach Shane Clampitt. “He became a leader for us in every way this season and truly grew into a playmaker. His touchdown was one of the best plays of the year and a moment our entire team fed off of.” “Vincent’s commitment, confidence, and impact on and off the field made this season better for everyone around him,” added Clampitt. Vincent earned Player of the Game honors during the Beech Grove game for his 35 yard TD catch. Vincent plans on going to IUPUI to study Business Management and room with his best friend Jordan Strong. According to Simpson, his favorite teacher Mr. Taylor also pushed him in the classroom to do his best and there was “never a sad day” in his class. We are super excited to see Vincent's future and see how he does at IUPUI!
