Today, we celebrate Brody Campbell, a senior student-athlete representing the cross country program at Speedway High School. Brody is the son of John and Tina Campbell and has a sister Ellie who graduated from Speedway in 2019. Why does Campbell run for the Sparkplugs? “I enjoy bettering my physical and mental health by exercising and interacting with the team,” said Campbell. His parents provide infinite support. “Both of my parents are indescribably valuable to me as they taught me what a good Christian is.” Coach Brian Hunteman has been pleased with Brody’s efforts in the running world. “Brody may go down as one of the hardest workers I have ever coached,” said Hunteman. “He gives 110% each and every day and his leadership is unmatched. His hard work has paid off; over four years of running cross country, Brody has shaved nearly eight minutes off his time from his freshman campaign.” “Brody is now a regular scorer for our team,” noted Hunteman. “Brody is going to be a hard one to see graduate, he will be greatly missed.” During his cross country experience at Speedway, Brody has been awarded the Mental Attitude and Most Improved Athlete awards. And while Brody is unsure where he will attend college next year, he does know what he wants to study. “I wish to study film and television production,” said Campbell.
