SPEEDWAY HIGH SCHOOL ATHLETICS

Speedway Boys tennis played Ben Davis for the 2nd time in a week and battled to improve on their score from Monday. Speedway battled and lost 1-4. The lone win came from 2 Doubles team Alex Burgos and Ethan Lowe. Afte losing the first set 0-6, they battled back and won the 2nd set 6-4 and won in a 3rd set tie-breaker 12-10. Ryan Hutchek battled in a close match at 2 singles. He won his 1st set 6-4, lost the 2nd set 0-6, and lost in a 10 point tie-breaker 11-13. 1 Singles player Hunter Woodlock played against Ben Davis 1 Singles player Josh Christner and lost with a score of 1-6, 0-6. Speedway ended their regular season on Saturday and look to compete in the sectional championship starting on Tuesday. Go Plugs!
