Once. Twice. Three times a champion. Speedway's #4 ranked Class 2A soccer team captured its third straight IHSAA sectional title with a 3-1 win over Bishop Chatard. Toby Cork netted the first two goals for the Sparkplugs who improved their overall record to 15-3 overall. With the win, the Sparkplugs earned a home match for their IHSAA Regional Semifinal. The Sparkplugs will face a new opponent this year, the Madison Cubs (13-5-1) who earned a trip to Speedway by virtue of a 3-2 win over South Dearborn. The teams will play Wednesday night at 7 p.m. The winner of Wednesday's match will travel to Bishop Chatard on Saturday afternoon to play the winner of Wednesday's Brebeuf Jesuit/Cascade match.
