Speedway's varsity boys soccer team plays host to Madison tonight in the Regional Semifinal round of the IHSAA Class 2A state tournament. The fourth-ranked Sparkplugs return to the Regional Semifinal round for the third straight season but this is the first Regional match to be played on the Sparkplugs pitch. With a win, the Sparkplugs will travel to Bishop Chatard for the Regional Championship match. This match will take place at 2 p.m. on Saturday. The winner of tonight's Speedway/Madison match will take on either #2 ranked Brebeuf (14-4-1) or Cascade (16-1-1). The Sparkplugs have not played Brebeuf this season while the Plugs are the only team to have defeated Cascade, taking a 2-1 win over the Cadets earlier this season.
