Varsity vs Lafayette Central Catholic Loss Varsity vs Western Boone (2 - 3) Loss The Sparkplugs traveled to Western Boone HS on Saturday morning to compete in their first and only Saturday tournament on the season. The Sparkplugs started the day with a loss to Benton Central. All courts competed well with the 1 Doubles team of Hser Ler and Isabel Moreno losing their first match with a close score of 4-6, 5-7. The 1 Doubles team followed that trend into their second match against Western Boone pushing the Stars 1 Doubles team to a 3rd set tie-breaker. Duo of Ler and Moreno lost in the 10 point tie-breaker 5-10. Their fellow teammates at the 1 and 2 singles positions also posted great scores against Western Boone. Daniella Galvez at 1 Singles and Alex De Lisle at 2 singles brought home the victory in their positions improving upon last year's result at the same tournament. The Sparkplugs ended the day with a hard fought battle against Lafayette Central Catholic. They came up short on that end with a score of 0-5.
