Senior Lynnette Fuentes is being celebrated this week for her hard work and dedication to tennis! She not only loves to play tennis, she is a great leader too. “Lynette is a quiet and kind leader on the team,” said coach Karly Smith. “She shows up and gives it her very best while also having an excellent attitude. Her positivity and want to learn are contagious and we are so honored she has chosen to participate in Speedway girls tennis! We’re looking forward to this season for her!” Lynnette believes tennis is positive for many reasons. “Tennis taught me to manage my time, set goals, and commit to consistent practice,” said Lynnette. You learn how to stay calm under pressure, focus, and bounce back after mistakes.” Lynnette is the daughter of Monica Cortes and Alberto Fuentes and has two younger siblings (Asleen, grade 9, Alberto grade 4). One adult that has made a big influence on Lynnette's life has been her dad. “He has shown me and tells me how capable I am of everything and has always been there for me whenever I’ve needed help”, said Lynnette. Lynnette plans on studying radiology/sonography or education at IU Indianapolis. We are so proud of you Lynnette and can’t wait to see what your future holds! Senior Profiles are created by the Student Media Team of Morgan Smith, Jonathan Berry, Hayli Clampitt, and Colten Thompson.
