It's a busy weekend for the Sparkplug athletes that participate in a winter sport. Here's what's going on in the next 48 hours: Wrestling: Senior Miles Miller (23-5, 190 lbs) competes in the IHSAA wrestling regional at Mooresville tomorrow morning. With a win, Miller punches his ticket to a berth in the IHSAA Semi-State at Evansville's Ford Center on February 10th. Girls Basketball: The girls won their Tuesday matchup over Cardinal Ritter, earning them a berth in tonight's IHSAA sectional semifinal at Beech Grove. The girls will play Washington (4-12) at 6 p.m. tonight. Tonight's winner will face the winner of the Beech Grove-Purdue Poly matchup in Saturday night's sectional final. That contest will begin at 7 p.m. at Beech Grove. Girls Swimming: The girls competed in the Pike Sectional preliminaries last evening. Finalists advancing from last night's competition will compete at Pike in the finals tomorrow afternoon. Fifteen schools are represented at the Pike Sectional. Boys Basketball: The varsity and JV boys hosted Martinsville last night Both teams host Lebanon tomorrow afternoon with the JV game starting at 1 p.m. Meanwhile, the freshman boys basketball team opens Marion County tournament action tomorrow with a game against Decatur Central.
